The purpose of this paper is to guided by the "text", Chinese (compulsory) textbooksfor high schools to people in the modern and contemporary prose as the backing, markedin high school Chinese modem and contemporary prose teaching were discussed. Modernand contemporary prose is famous for its well-knit god do not come loose, and is rich inemotion, beautiful language and profound artistic conception, these are the modem andcontemporary prose is applicable to the main basis of "close reading". As a high schoolChinese teaching, an important part of modern and contemporary prose has a great effecton improving students’ Chinese accomplishment. But, under the influence of manyfactors, and failed to show the modem and contemporary prose teaching in high school,the importance of the Chinese teaching in the teaching is not very desirable, investigateits reason, main is to ignore the "text".This article is divided into three parts. Chapter one analyze the present situation ofhigh school Chinese modem and contemporary prose teaching including the status ofmodem and contemporary prose in high school Chinese teaching and the problemsexisting in the teaching. First, based on the selection of Chinese textbook for seniormiddle school, the college entrance examination examination of modem andcontemporary prose and cultivation of students’ Chinese quality aspects to talk about thestatus of modem and contemporary prose in high school Chinese teaching. Thendiscusses the problems existing in the modem and contemporary prose teaching,distortions in general mainly embodied in the text, the free text and text these threeaspects is analysed, and the causes of these problems is the college entrance examinationsystem of teachers’ practical teaching under the background of new curriculum reformand misreading of the new curriculum standard, and the teachers failed to supplementknowledge, and subsequently led to deficiency of the ability to interpret the text. Thus themodem and contemporary prose teaching high school is the most important still is toreturn to the text, read text.The second chapter introduces the theory of "close reading" at home and abroad andits significance to the teaching of high school Chinese modem and contemporary prose.The first is the theory of "close reading" illustrates the related concepts, and introducesthe main ideas of the "text" theory both at home and abroad, based on this, advances the research institute in the context of "close reading method" is a course of "text", is the"text" theory at home and abroad on the basis of the proposed, conform to the modernand contemporary prose teaching high school circumstance of "close reading method".Secondly, from the characteristics of the modem and contemporary prose and theeffectiveness of classroom teaching and the students’ reading innovation experience thesethree aspects to talk about "text" of the meaning of modem and contemporary proseteaching high school.The third chapter "close reading" the application of Chinese modem andcontemporary prose teaching in high school, combining classroom teaching cases, fromthree aspects: context, emotion, language for analysis. First read the context, and in themodem and contemporary prose teaching should base on the discourse context,situational context, contact social and cultural context to study read. Followed by readingthrough emotion, mainly from feeling and experience the author writing into studentsread these two aspects to study read. Finally is to read language, respectively from theconnotation of the language and style study read.
