With the development of the times, More and more educators and parents pay attention to the Children’s gender education. Primary education is a critical period in which children identify gender role, In this paper, the object of study is the fourth-grade students in Chengdu Experimental Primary School. The author carries out research on the status of the identification of the gender role and points out how to carry out the measures of the primary school gender education。This article is analyzed and discussed from the following four aspects:The chapter one, introduction:analyses the reason of this research. Definite the purpose, content and method. It defines the core concepts of this study and summarize the literature of this research.Chapter two,Investigation and Analysis. There are questionnaires, interviews and other methods in this research. They are used to tell the status quo of the fourth-grade students’gender role. We are definite that the fourth grade is the critical period of development of children’s gender role identity. It analysis the characteristics and problems or the investigation Theoretical Study:the author talks about the fourth-grade students’gender role identity.Chapter3, The Cause. It try to explore the reasons which influence identification of gender role of students, including bio-genetic factors, children’s cognitive development, parents and family education, sicio-cultural and customs and so on. It analyzes and discusses the impact of several factors for children’s gender role.Chapter4.Coping Strategies. It propose the appropriate educational measures with the specific content of study and combined with theoretical knowledge. We want to promote the primary pupils’sexy education and establish a correct awareness of gender roles.
