Since the beginning of the 21st century,Chinese society has been faced with more and more gender issues and challenges,such as the increase of gender issues among children and adolescents,the development and dissemination of gender subcultures,the criticism and improvement of traditional gender concepts,and the promotion of gender equality.These problems and challenges are more or less related to the development of gender education or depend on the development of gender education to solve.At present,China's gender education is mainly concentrated in the stage of higher education,and the gender education in primary and secondary schools is in a relatively random and absent state.Generally speaking,the gender education in primary and secondary schools in China mainly has the following four problems and deficiencies:First,the concept of gender education is confused;Secondly,the lack of norms in gender education;Thirdly,the content of gender education is monotonous;Fourthly,the target of gender education is not inclusive.The primary and secondary school stage is the key period for the students'physiological sex development,gender consciousness formation and gender model establishment.Gender education is a powerful way to guide minors to form correct gender consciousness,gender role and gender behavior.In order to solve students' gender problems and doubts,to transmit scientific and objective gender knowledge to students,to help students build a healthy and suitable gender model,and to build a gender-friendly campus for students,it is imperative to improve gender education in primary and secondary schools.To understand the current situation of the sex education for primary and secondary schools at the present stage,the student sex knowledge and the status quo of the concept of gender,sex education teachers' knowledge,skills,attitudes and other related problems,the author field investigation the domestic two primary schools,two junior high school and high school,and using the experience of developed countries in the world of sex education for primary and secondary schools,authoritative survey,sex,sex education theory,through the comparative analysis,questionnaire survey and so on analysis about the present situation of sex education for primary and secondary schools in China at present stage,and improvement Suggestions are put forward.This paper has four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly introduces the status quo of gender education at home and abroad,and analyzes the significance of gender education for China's education.The second chapter mainly introduces the concepts and theories related to gender and gender education,which provides a theoretical basis for analyzing the status quo and suggestions of gender education.The third chapter is the data analysis of the questionnaire survey,summarizes the existing problems of gender education in primary and secondary schools,and analyzes the causes of the problems.The fourth chapter puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to effectively improve gender education in primary and secondary schools,which mainly revolves around four aspects:First,establishing the importance of gender education and clarifying the concept of gender education.Second,the state has issued relevant norms for gender education,strengthened the training and assessment of gender education for teachers,and made gender education evidence-based,and got rid of the influence of traditional gender stereotypes and bad ideas.Third,enrich the content of gender education in schools,build comprehensive gender education,and provide more diversified content and perspectives for students' gender development.Fourth,expand the scope of gender education targets in primary and secondary schools,attach importance to and provide targeted help to students in need of special help,such as students from sexual minorities,students from areas with a strong preference for boys over girls,students with disabilities and students who have been sexually injured,and strive to create "inclusive" gender education.Finally,a scientific,gender-friendly and inclusive education system will be established.The research results of this paper have certain reference value for the improvement of gender education in primary and secondary schools,but there are also many shortcomings and regrets.The gender education experience in primary and secondary schools referred to in this paper mainly comes from western developed countries.The specific recommendations also need to be tested in a practical educational environment.
