Gender education are linked with a series of concept like physical sex,gender roles,gender,sex,sex education etc.In the history of human culture,the mysteries of gender have attracted people’s attention,for example how to understand gender differences,how the concept of gender change along with the development of society and changes of times,how the individual social gender sprout,develop,form,and whether the gender role must have reflected the expectations of certain social culture under its social background.These topics are still the heated discussions and studies of social gender research,Internal Social Science as well as gender education.In this thesis,I chose students and teachers of the Affiliated Middle School of Guangzhou University as my subjects.Through discussing the theories of gender education,this paper analyzes and studies the current situation of the three major perspectives of gender education,including data analysis and interviews about students’ biological sex,social gender,gender equality and teachers’ ability and idea of gender education.The result shows that the current status of middle school gender education in China is not satisfactory,both students and teachers are still unclear about the concept of gender education.Besides,the neglect of gender education in China leads to the lack of a designed,systematic and scientific gender education in middle school.What’s more,the deep-rooted gender stereotype has seriously hindered the implementation of gender education in high school.And last but not least,the lost of correct gender education value of parents,teachers and other educators has deeply influenced the education.In order to promote the healthy,equal and all-round development of middle school students,it is necessary to pay attention to the following aspects in gender education:Scientific gender education should be student-oriented and base on the development of individuals.Besides,to avoid the misleading gender value of social media,strengenth the supervision of citizens and enhance students’ ability to identify gender information.The Education Department of China should come up with a plan to put gender education into the curriculum of basic education.
