As a common forms of teaching and research for first-line teacher, open class is an important way for first-line teacher to reflect. It should occupy a very important role in teachers’ professional development. But the support functions of open class for teachers’ teaching reflection don’t give a full play in practice. And there needs a further research on open class for teachers’ teaching reflection.Based on this situation, this article used the theoretical resources such as reflective learning, social epistemology, symbolic interactionism, social learning theory and so on, adopted the literature, questionnaires, interviews, observation and other research methods, researched on the following issues:the overview and development orbit of open class, the support functions of open class for teachers’ teaching reflection and its causes, the support functions of open class for teachers’ teaching reflection practice problems and its causes, the usage of framework and strategy of open class for teachers’ teaching reflection on basis of the above research.This paper argues that open class produced in the1950s in China, roughly from the display orientation to evaluation orientation, evaluation orientation to teachers’ professional development orientation three stage. According to different criteria, open class can be divided into:teacher’ taught&ordinary teacher’ teaching, borrow class&original class teaching, the same class observation&different class observation, appraisal style&growth style, single-round out style&circulating growth style. Open class has support functions such as intermediary, context, target. But due to teacher’s self-identity, processing logic and individual constructivism, these functions have not been fully brought into play. In view of this, the paper put forward the framework and general practice strategies of open class for teachers’ teaching reflection on the basis of fully seeking theoretical support. The major general practice strategies are goal-oriented, peer support and organization diversified and so on.
