According to observing the sudents, ranging from pupils to middle school students, we can find that the older the students are, the less intrest and passion of study they have. Moreover, there are a decline trend in their academic motivation, performance in study and learning intrest of many subjects with grades. Of course, there are many reasons, but the most important one is that most geography teachers are still applying the traditional teaching method. In their class, they hope the students can learn something new by accepting what they have explained. It may be benificial to strenthen the students’learning motivation by changing their learning ways and the teachers’teaching ways. Therefore, in the background of the New Curriculum Reform, I write this paper to research the influence on the high school students’learning motivation by the researched learning style.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the preface of the article, mainly including the background, the significance of the studies and the literature review. The second part discusses about the relational theories, clarifies the concepts of study motivation and researched learing style and describes the principle and features. The third part introduces the methods, process and tools of the research, meanwhile the application of the researched teaching in designing is focused. The fourth part anylyses the data got from the experiment and anylyses the changes of the learning motivation in five aspects. The last part is the conclusion. We can find that our teachers can take many measures,such as getting cases, activities and questions from our life, to arouse the students’learning enthusiasm and stengthen their confidence in learning geography. The researched learning style can inscrease the students’self-efficacy.In the process of the researched learning, the cooperative team learning is an important organization form. For the teachers, it’s important to cereate a democracy tolerant environment for the students to learn well. At the same time, the teachers should ask the students some questions about the real life, which are not easy to answer to excite their motivation. The students should be guided to pay more attention to the process of finding the answers, which is full of various conflicts. There is one point we can’t ignore, during the process, we can’t tell the students results early.On the other hand, from the result of the experiment, we can find the fact that the students are short of strategies of learning by themselves and rely more on the teachers, especially in the existing teaching environment. Under the pressure of examinations, the students are losing more interests and agreements about some subjects. The reason why they learn geography is that they want to get a good grade instead of the subject itself. Where the sense of achievements lies is in the need of solving the problems and getting high marks rather than succeed in chanlenging themselves. Therefore, the problems are mainly about the teachers, who don’t have a good ability to use the researched teaching style, or they can’t choose some proper teaching contents. Even more, some teachers ask some questions too easy or too difficult to answer. So in this paper, the author wants to find some ways to solve the problems to improve both the geography teaching and learning.
