Infancy is a fundamental period of an individual’sdevelopment, in which many habits and personal qualities have been gradually formed.The quality of the children sports held in Chengdu not only has direct impact on thewell-being and comprehensive development of the children, but also reflect the wholelevel of the children education. This thesis chooses the urban city of Chengdu as theresearch realm and the children sports as the subject, adopting random-sample methodto make research on the current situations of80kindergarten,100preschool teachersand200children’s parents. This survey found that:1. Generally speaking, the situation of conducting kindergarten children sports inChengdu is not ideal, nor is the equipment and the implement of sports’ teaching.2. The significance of kindergarten children sports has been warmly receipted by thekindergarten, but has not been implemented in practice, which easily gives rise tothe ignorance of children sports.3. The teachers responsible for teaching children sports in kindergarten are those whograduate from children normal college or early childhood major. They haverelatively higher level in academic diplomat, but lack the fundamentalknowledge.Most of the early childhood teachers’ teaching skills are rather coarse,and it is unscientific for them to organize children sports. Professional childrensports teachers make up the minority. In addition, those sports teachers graduatingform sports college are rare.4. The situation of holding kindergarten morning exercises and sports activities inChengdu city is good. The children sports have been warmly receipted by thekindergartner. Both the time for morning exercise and the content are rational andrelatively scientific. The form of childhood sports focus on playing game.5. The teaching contents of the childhood sports held in Chengdu are flexible to someextent. While, it’s random and not ideal for them to choose the teaching contents,especially on the children’s action development and the situation of grasping thesports teaching rules. Besides, the choice of teaching content has been largelyrelated to the hobbies and the sports’abilities of those kindergarten.6. There are few opportunities for urban kindergarten to receive training in childhoodsports. Most kindergartner are incapable of receiving professional training inteaching sports. The kindergarten in Chengdu held good internationalcommunication, but need to enhance the kind of communication in children sports.The majority of kindergarten teachers lack the academic awareness in sports filed.Above all, combination with the reality of the urban kindergarten and the developing prospect of the Early educational development, the teachers should putforward the counterpart measures of the children’s sports held in Chengdu in the future.The awareness of the children sports should also be reinforced by those personnelrelated to sports, so should the sports intelligence be put into practice. The scientificlevel of the kindergarten sports should be improved through constructing the completecurriculum system of kindergarten sports; a set of training model, characterized byreaching the agreement between pre-occupation and post-occupation, should berebuilt; This model should be featured in the combination of kindergarten, family andsociety.
