Today, the development of a country and its national level of education are inextricablylinked, and this is a knowledge-based economy, especially higher education, not only toimprove the quality of higher education in economic development is increasing,especiallyin the industrial structure adjustment and optimization of the process of highereducation to cultivate the professionals can promote the development of the industrialstructure, so the direction of the training of higher education to adapt to the needs of theindustrial structure. At present, our government has increased efforts to develop highereducation, in order to adapt to economic development, but investment in higher educationin different regions, and the scale is still uncoordinated, and economic development can notmatch, resulting in some economically underdeveloped regions of the brain drainphenomenon is not conducive to regional economic co-operation, coordinated development.Education, economic growth, industrial structure theory as a theoretical analysis, andcomprehensive use of theories and methods of economics, statistics, education, and innearly a decade of economic development status, the status of the industrial structure, andhigher education the development status of a comprehensive and systematic analysis, usingfactor analysis, from the microscopic point of interpretation and ranking of our highereducation investment and the establishment of the three industries with the supply ofhigher education model, analyzed in the short to medium term higher education’scontribution to the development of different industries, but also the structure ofemployment in different industries and higher education supply, the correlation analysis, inorder to further understand the structure of higher education and industrial structure,employment structure matching. Conclusions based on the above analysis, the article alsosummarizes the factors that affect the contribution of higher education to economicdevelopment, and given a reasonable policy recommendations.
