The specialized subject of Full-time Master of Education is to train talents of practicabilityand applicability in primary and secondary education, who are required to have a solid andcomprehensive theoretical knowledge as well as the ability in practical applications. Therefore,the segment of teaching ability training of Full-time Master of Education must be strengthened.The strengthening of teaching ability training is an important component in the cultivation ofFull-time Master of Education, thus it can be seen that the study on the teaching ability statusand training of Full-time Master of Education is of utmost importance to pushing the healthyand sustainable development of the specialized subject of Full-time Master of Education.On the basis of competency standards for teachers and the teaching philosophy of NewCurriculum, this text is using the following methods of research: comparative study,comprehensive analysis, induction and surveys. It discusses mainly the following aspects: tointerpret the characteristics of Full-time Master’s Degree of Education and the particularity ofits training, to achieve the appropriateness of the teaching ability training program of Full-timeMaster of Education from the perspective of research subjects; to reveal the content of teachingability, as well as the connotation and core structure of the teaching ability of Full-time Masterof Education, and to conduct in-depth analysis of the teaching ability status; to analyze thetheoretical foundation and the research basis of teaching ability training; to investigate andanalyze the teaching ability status and training of Full-time Master of Education from apractical perspective; to propose improved strategies for the teaching ability training ofFull-time Master of Education in view of revealed status and problems.At present, having undergone10years of exploration and practice, the teaching abilitytraining of Master of Education has seen some achievements, such as the formation of anindependent training program, and the respective characteristics of different schools graduallyshaped based on their own advantages and disadvantages. However, in general, there arerelatively few studies on the teaching ability of Full-time Master of Education.Based on the above analysis and grounded on the existing domestic and internationalstudies on teaching ability, combined with the particularity of Full-time Master of Education,through investigation and analysis of the teaching ability status and training of Full-time Master of Education, this text presents the existing problem in teaching ability training, in view ofwhich it proposes improved strategies for the teaching ability training of Full-time Master ofEducation.This study analyzes the teaching ability status of Master of Education, GuangzhouUniversity, aiming to advance the independent development of the teaching ability of Master ofEducation, to promote the improvement and innovation of teaching ability training program ofMaster of Education, to improve the pertinence and appropriateness of the training program,and thereby to enhance the teaching standards and quality of Master of Education. In the meantime, it also impels the study on the teaching ability of Full-time Master of Education andprovides theoretical guidance for its training and development.
