The rapid development of information technology in21st century makes thetransfer of information faster and more effective, richer in the amount of information.The cores of the modern information technology, multimedia technology and Internet,can help to realize the function of transfer and storage of information, can make theteaching information simpler, easier and more active, and will shorten the time of theinformation transmission while extending the transmission distance and expanding thestorage space.This paper discusses the use of modern information technology to promote theteaching reform in the course of Chinese medicine nursing, which specifically coversteaching objectives, model of teaching, teaching resources and teaching methods. Thereform of teaching objectives lies in focusing on students’ capacity of independent studyby way of information technology under the premise of turning from knowledgeimpartment to ability training. The reform of the teaching model is to change thetraditional close teaching model into an open one, by which the students can use theschool’s network in the teaching rooms to find the information that they need on theInternet by themselves. So they can study and discuss with the teachers by way of QQ,e-mail, which is not limited within the resources from textbooks and the traditionalteaching classrooms. In the reform of teaching resources, students can take fulladvantage of the resources of the Internet, television, multimedia courseware and CD tolearn by themselves, and the teachers will change the traditional teaching model of “toexplain–to accept” in self-learning and multimedia-assisted teaching. The newperspective of teaching reform changes the classroom learning model of traditionalChinese medicine nursing, solving the shortage of information input in traditionalclassroom teaching model, the simplicity of teaching method, the shortage ofcommunication between teachers and students and the limitation of space, which canpromote the shift from the closed teaching model to modern open teaching model andrealize the reform of teaching model to be “teacher-guided and student-oriented” in the course of Chinese medicine nursing. The rapid development of information technologyprovides a starting point for the reform of TCM nursing teaching, which leads thetraditional teaching model to be more modernized, IT-prone and multi-media-prone.By literature review, questionnaire and quasi-experimental study, based on theprofessional theoretical data in the reform of modern information technology andmodern teaching, the study firstly implements the teaching reform by comparing thecontrol group of the traditional teaching model with the experimental group by adoptingmodern information technology and curriculum integration model, and then theexperimental results are discovered and discussed with a summary of experiences andlessons from the teaching reform practice.By the study, it is to give some ideas and a reform practice for the teaching reformin the course of Chinese medicine nursing in vocational schools from the perspective ofinformation technology. At the same time, it can provide a reference for other schools inthe teaching reform of TCM nursing and improve the teaching effectiveness oftraditional Chinese medicine nursing and cultivate more excellent nursing talents.
