A Research On The Evaluation Of The MSW Education From The2010MSW Graduates

It has become increasingly prominent that accelerating the social work of qualified personnel, training a group of high-level and application of social work professionals to provide a strong pool of talent for the harmonious society construction,with the constantly push forward of China’s socialist harmonious society construction. On April2012,19ministries jointly issued the "Social Work Professionals Team Building and Long-term Planning (2011-2012)". This plan clearly proposed to accelerate the development of the education of professional degree of Master of Social Work (MSW), and proposed talent planning vision of training and introduction30000Master of Social Work postgraduates till2020. However the phenomena that on one hand, there is a shortage in the human resource of social work talents, on the other hand,social work graduates feel too difficulties to look for jobs inspires me to think deeply of the problem of MSW education.The paper is based on the evaluation of the first class Master of Social Work Degree graduates on MSW education, based on the case of the H University. The questionnaire survey and interview makes me have the depth understanding of the evaluation on MSW education of the first class Master of Social Work in H University. The result of this study shows that the evaluation of the education MSW from the Students is overall low:there is not enough emphasis on value education, training objectives are not clear enough, the curriculum is not reasonable, it is lack of professional supervision in the practice and so on. Based on these issues, the paper analyses the difficulties and problems that China MSW education faced from enrollment, teaching to the employment, including the enrollment dilemma of low professional identity, generalized fuzzy the training target and positioning, dilemma of practical requirements and real resource scarcity, and employment difficulties of the prevailing practice training goal. In the last part, this paper puts forward solutions to these problems from state, society and education level, that is, to promote career development and build a professional social service system, to regulate professional education and build localization MSW education system,to integrate advantageous resources in order to explore the characteristics of MSW education and training mode.
