As the cradle of examination system, China is fully believed as the advanced country interms of examination where the admission and employment examinations are the mostgeneral selection modes of the talents. Being inherited more than one thousand years in China,the examination system consists of universal value, system, social and psychological approvaland so on and has produced far-reaching effect on society stability development and leavesextremely abundant and massive examination culture. As a cultural existence and phenomena,influenced by the Confucian slogan “a good scholar can become an official” and imperialcompetitive examination potentially, and extensively, it dominates our consciousness andbehavior for examination, especially college entrance examination. College entranceexamination system has changed the structure of basic education and higher educationthoroughly and it has had a great contribution to social progress since the establishment. Theintention of autonomous recruitment in university changes the traditional views of “mark isthe most important” and “one exam can determine students’ destiny” and explores the modeof the pluralism of examination evaluation and selection. In the times of diverse evaluation ofhigher education, the guarantee of fairness and consideration to science and efficiency shouldbe the main trend of college entrance examination system culture and the autonomousrecruitment in university is treated as a part of college entrance examination recruitment aswell as the application area for multielement evaluation and exploration of independentevaluation in universities.Influenced by the overall situation of college entrance examination and the educationalconditions of our country, centering on the guiding views on autonomous recruitment byministry of education, each pilot university performed positive practical exploration andconstructed pioneering work on scheme and selective evaluation and produced a lot of newselection modes at the basis of drawing lessons from foreign universities. As a whole, the realindependent, complete, strict and scientific system still has not been constructed and theautonomous recruitment in pilot universities is at the preliminary stage which appears as thediverse patterns. Based on the investigation and analysis of autonomous recruitment, thispaper finally puts into effect on fairness, ability, humanistic value and multi-value to guide areasonable location for source of students in pilot universities and to provide the general guideidea and value basis for selection of innovative talents and diversification of source ofstudents in high-level universities.
