The volitional quality is an essential factor and an integral part of persons’success. Strong volitional quality or not will directly affect the future of youthpeople.Junior high school students are at a critical period of physical and psychologicalphase,when effectively to develop strong volitional quality of students. As the mainchannel of moral education of ideological and moral lesson,it should cultivate strongvolitional quality combining subject teaching, and promote the all-round developmentof students.Based on the status of volitional quality from junior high school students, thepaper analyzes the reason and performance of the students’ weakness. It pointed out thatthe strong volitional quality is important for the students. It summarizes fourprinciples:practice principles, the principle of gradual and orderly progress, thedifference and time principle. It advances four main strategies proceeded from practice:first,changing teaching concepts and improving teaching methods;second,bringing upthe confidence of students by demonstration education; third,helping students focus ontraining individually; forth, home-school education, to create synergy.
