In the phase of senior political curriculum, the employment ofComprehensive study is a highlight. Adhering to the idea of students’development-oriented, and based on reality, it is supported by the subjectfor its close combination of life and study. Aiming at developing students’ability to innovate and practice, Comprehensive study provides a freestage for students to learn autonomously, cooperatively andcomprehensively.Based on the overall analysis and evaluation of the senior politicalcurriculum, this thesis mainly sheds light on the elementary part of the textbook. This thesis proposes series of suggestions on the problems andbewilderment in the level of design idea, design principles and designconcept. According to analysis and evaluation, this paper is divided intofive parts.The first part of this paper is introduction. This part, mainly based onthe background information about curriculum reform, clarifies thesignificance, the thinking and the method of this research by studying thecurrent situation and problems during the research both at home andabroad.In the second part, it mainly manifests the denotation and connotationof comprehensive study as well as its function in the phase of seniormiddle school political curriculum. It carefully clarifies the role thecomprehensive study plays in senior middle school political curriculumIn the third part, the design idea of comprehensive study ismanifested by the overall analysis on the senior middle school politicalcurriculum. This part bring the deign idea into details from the followingthree levels: Based on students’ life, highlight the reality; combiningsubject’s characteristics, show thoughtfulness; converting learningmethods, give prominence to flexibility.The fourth part deals with the design principles. This is explainedcomprehensively through three aspects: principle of students-subjectivity;principle of knowledge comprehensiveness; and process openness. The fifth part explains the design concept of the senior middle schoolpolitical curriculum. By analyzing the political textbook of senior middleschool and combining the existing problems during the implementationprocess, this part is proposed from the following four aspects: theestablishment of the theme of comprehensive study; the setting of thepurpose of comprehensive study; the arrangement of the links ofcomprehensive study; and the implementation of activities ofcomprehensive study.
