Previously quantities of researches, surveys and discussion about occupationburnout have been conducted by many researchers, of which concern teachers;however document about teacher occupation burnout in minority area are quite rare, letalone demonstrative questionnaire or report. China is a country of fifty-six minoritieswith a population of over ten million. Minority population in guizhou province rinksfourth among the whole country. Guizhou, as a minority area, teacher occupationburnout has its similarities and differences as well, compared with other non-minorityarea. This research aims to organize theories and demonstrative documents related toteacher occupation burnout in depth and systematically, and to understand problemsand characteristics about teacher occupation burnout in Guizhou, analyze howdemographic variables and work pressure in minority area influence teacheroccupation burnout,then to find out reasons for teacher occupation burnout. Based onMalachi’s occupation burnout questionnaire, new questionnaire and survey wasdesigned to carry out the research, which involves five hundred high school teachers.For teachers’ mental and professional development, it is hoped that this researchwould serve as references for relating researches about teacher occupation burnout andfor a school scientific management purpose in minority area. It is as wished that thisthesis would inspire some more mature thoughts about teacher occupation burnout inminority area.
