Using role-playing method in teaching the part of political life of politics in high school is not only in accordance with the requirement of changing the property of this curriculum and carrying on the reform of new curriculum, but also helpful to eliminate the disadvanteges of traditional political teaching. Due to the fact that the key factor of politics is democratic participation, role play can provide students with the chance of participating in the socialtist democratic politics. In this way, they can study the roles in politic life in simulations and games, which is the essence of politics teaching. But we should notice that there is a series of steps and procedures of this teaching method. Firstly, the teacher should prepare for the situations and problems, analyse the constraints, select the actors and arrange observational task for the audience carefully. Secondly, in the process of role play, the techer should create a good atmosphere and clarify the requirements, then employ many ways of role-playing such as fish-bowl, multiple, role-reversal, role-rotation and so on, aiming to enrich the content and form of activity and ensure that students can fully realize democratic participation and emotional experience. Finally, in the debriefing, the teacher should make full use of pratical wisdom, summarize and evaluate role-playing according to the established steps of role play. Both the theory and pratice prove that role-playing method in the politics teaching can promote the progress of teaching, students and teachers. However, there are several problems, which require us to create situations properly, change teachers’roles, ensure the full participation of students and realize the complementary of multiple teaching methods, so that we can realize the optimization of teaching effect.
