The teacher-student relationship has changed fundamentally owing to developmentof new philosophy of education. With the development of the times, the subjectivity ofhuman and subject consciousness have been raised. There has been a series of questionsabout traditional relationship between teachers and students under the subject-objectdualistic mode. So the teacher–student relationship can’t adapt to the development ofeducation. In particular, in the reform process of basic education the teacher-studentrelationship can’t be ignored, such as unequal status, indifference feelings and so on.Inter-subjectivity theory of Marxism is on the basis of communication practicetheory of Marxism. It refers to the unity of ‘subject-subject’ and ‘subject-object’relationship, reflecting the coexistence and equality between subjects. Under theguidance of this theory, inter-subjective relationship between teachers and students canbe defined as an interaction relationship of equality, cooperation, understanding duringteaching activities. This new type of teacher-student relationship emphasizessubjectivity of both teachers and students and concerns about emotional relationship.Besides, it closes to real life and development needs of students. Therefore, it meets theinherent regularity of the teacher-student relationship in the process of ideological andpolitical education, and more over it conforms to requirements of the development ofthe times.It favors the improvement of students’ enthusiasm, creation and the achievementof education goals only by establishing inter-subjectivity teacher-student relationship.How to build the inter-subjectivity relationship? Not only the efforts betweenteachers and students are needed, but also need the support of schools, families, andsociety who should create a favorable external environment. This paper is based on the relationship between teachers and students during theideological and political teaching activities in high school. It mainly interprets fivecountermeasures on how to build the inter-subjective teacher-student relationship, suchas the improvement of theoretical basis, rational knowledge, teaching practice, teachingenvironment, value-oriented choice and so on.
