Students from different regions and different social environment will lead to theirdifferent characteristics in terms of the interest orientation of music learning. The analysis ofthese characteristics will be of important theoretical and practical significance for students ofdifferent regions to choose the form and content of music teaching. With the physiologicalchanges and the enrichment of knowledge and experience on aesthetics, the schoolings theyreceived, the social surroundings they are in and the psychological characteristics of thecertain age, the middle school students, as a part of social groups, eventually form theirpeculiar interest orientation of music learning activities.This thesis takes the middle school students in urban and rural areas in Jilin Province asthe research subjects, trying to conduct a comprehensive study from the respective of themore detailed activities content of music learning and deeper interest orientation of musiclearning activities of middle school students in varied areas.The22self-made questionnaires are respectively from the three aspects of genres ofsongs, in-class music teaching activities, ways of extracurricular music learning to analyseinterest orientation of music learning of the students. The research is launched in a systematicway toward the192students as the research subjects from the4middle schools of urban andrural areas in Jilin Province.Through the research, I find that there existing a great number of similarities anddifferences with regard of interest orientation of music learning of the middle school studentsin these two different regions, e.g. pop music, folk songs, teaching textbooks, classroomteaching activities, extracurricular self-learning problems and etc.On the basis of the research results, I conduct ceaseless efforts to explore and summarizethe interest orientation of music learning activities of middle school students in differentregions, make an attempt to provide the theoretical guidance for the practices of differenceteaching in the music classes, put forward the proposals of making the most use of interestorientation of music learning of students to grasp the performance of classroom teaching andin the end, offer a reference for the further discussion of effective music teaching.
