Homework is an important factor of the classroom teaching and the consolidation after class, which is also an important way for the students to understand the knowledge and to improve their learning abilities. At present, a lot of improvement has been made in China’s primary school teaching whether on the teaching strategy or the student’s study way. However, as a continuation of classroom teaching, the homework should also play an important role on the harmonious and comprehensive development of students’ individuality. But in fact, the reform of the pupils’ homework is lag behind. Teachers devote much less time and energy to the students’homework than that to the classroom teaching. Teachers often arrange homework of unified content and single form, neglecting the students’individual differences, which cannot meet the different needs of the students. In order to design homework appropriate for every student, we must find and overcome the current disadvantages existing in the homework and design homework with the same content for the student group of the same property. Therefore, design of homework stratification is necessary.Design of homework stratification is a reasonable stratification of the students to arrange homework corresponding to their learning abilities and knowledge constructions, according to the personal differences of the students’ learning speed, ability, adaptability, interest and experience, to promote the effective development of the students at different levels.This study is based on the investigation and analysis of the present situation of mathematics study and the arrangement of the mathematical homework for senior students in primary school. Teachers use method of questionnaires and score analysis to evaluate the students’individual differences and the students are stratified reasonably, which is aiming at the designing and implementation strategies of mathematical homework stratification for senior students of elementary school. The study shows that, the implementation of the homework stratification has effectively promoted the development of the learning ability and mentality of the students.
