Since the implementation of the curriculum reform, significant progress has been madein the fields of music education in primary and middle schools in China. In2012, the officialversion of Music Curriculum Standards will be implemented, however the concept of reformon China’s new curriculum has not yet been carried out in classes of basic education. Theteaching objective is the embodiment of curriculum objective in the classes, as well as the keypoint to the design of music teaching. Therefore, the problems associated with the teachingobjective design are catching more and more attention from the public.This thesis can fall into three parts. The introduction part gives a detailed explanation ofthe origin of this thesis, the research literature review, the research objectives, the researchmethods and the research significance. In the body parts of this thesis, firstly, I apply theliterature research to analyze and summarize the theoretical classification basis of the musicteaching objectives, resulting in the conclusion that objectives of music teaching arehierarchical. Moreover, I state that the theoretical sources of China’s music curriculumstandards (trial draft) are also from Broome’s theory of educational objectives taxonomy.Then, through the method of text analysis, I analyze and summarize the contents of the musictextbooks of primary schools issued by People’s Music Publishing House in accordance withthe contents and standards of curriculum standards. On the basis of the foregoing contents, thethird part of this thesis is the interviews, information collection and analysis of factorsinfluencing the objectives design of music teaching by the excellent music teachers ofprimary schools in Changchun City and come to a conclusion that the objectives design ofmusic teaching in primary schools should be based on the psychology of music learning byprimary school students, as well as improve the professional quality of teachers and take acomprehensive consideration of the three-dimensional teaching content of teaching materials.In the end, the conclusion has been drawn from the conclusion part of the thesis: theobjectives design of the primary school music teaching should be comprehensive andreasonable, as well as the statements should be specific and accurate.
