Xs College Teachers' Research Ability Quality Model

The emergence of independent college provides a useful complement for our higher education. Independent college aims to train local applied talents. It is typical teaching-oriented college, which is different from regular universities. What abilities of teachers it needs to pay attention to, when Independent college introduces and trains talents?This paper gives XS independent college as an example, using the investigation, documentary and empirical methods, with the evaluation of teaching target by students, combining the selection conditions of outstanding teachers and teachers’research capacity, to study teachers’ Competency in XS independent college, and explore competency model in use of talent management and talent introduction.Based on the in-depth analysis of competency model and its literature, this paper collate and analyze students’evaluation data of teaching, evaluation data for excellent teachers, data of research paper and research funds, applying multivariate statistical analysis, hierarchical cluster analysis and factor analysis to get some valuable conclusion. Students in XS independent college value teachers’education capability, including teachers’ teaching quality as well as their ability to guide and lead students; while from the point of view of the college management, they are more likely to encourage teachers to improve teaching results and research capacity.In the process of empirical analysis, this paper discovers the problem that the XS independent college teacher evaluation system relies too much on students’evaluation factors. According to the findings, this paper argues that teachers should further understand students’ characteristics, background and needs so they can adjust teaching methods and content more suitable for students and also, teachers should keep strengthening their research ability. In addition, this paper suggests college to improve the enrichment of evaluation index and the variety of assessment for the current evaluation system, so it can better reflect college’s goal and pursuit, fairness and justice, and stimulate the enthusiasm of teachers.
