With the economic development of China’s socialist market economic system, and gradually establish and improve the enrollment of our colleges and universities for many years, short-term into the talent popular stage and other factors caused a number of college graduates increased sharply in recent years, to the Graduate Employment bring some pressure and difficulty. According to the Ministry of Education, Graduate Employment Survey,2005, the employment rate of the national university athletes in more than95%, but after2005the employment situation is increasingly serious. Therefore, a good university athletes in employment are closely linked not only with the immediate interests of the athletes with the reasonable use of the development of competitive sports, talent, social development are closely relatedGraduated from college basketball in Jiangsu Province high level of professional athletes starting the investigation, analysis of the literature, questionnaires, interviews with experts, mathematical statistics, the employment situation of college basketball high-level athletes. To find the impact of job placement of college basketball high-level athletes to promote and disincentives to further explore the causes of the inadequacies, the proposed methods and strategies to address these inadequacies, Jiangsu Province to develop high-level athletes job placement to provide a reference. The results are as follows:Social talents’requirements with the increase of the number of graduates increased university athletes in the employment rate continued to decline in recent years, a narrow range of employment, job satisfaction and low status of the employment situation. The reason is mainly the following three areas:college education, high level athletes, management is not perfect; the employer to enhance the selection criteria; high-level athletes of their own cultural foundation is weak, lack of work experience, comprehensive ability and personal employment expectations too high and other factors.To change the employment status of the college top athletes, we must further strengthen the organization and management and coordination of school athletes, and gradually formed a new management approach of a complete, scientific, and adapt athletes employment; clear training objectives of the students; training content conforms to the requirements of social development and the actual needs of athletes; high-level athletes should usually enhance the learning of cultural knowledge, to enhance the professional skills; reasonable position, due to lower employment expectations; during the school to participate in social practice, all aspects of enhanced integratedcapacity.
