In the context of the community to urgently strengthen the moral construction, a project called "moral lecture" move has raised concern. This article researches into the citizens’ moral lecture in Dacheng Hall, Changzhou, by participating in surveys, depth interviews and other research methods, from the perspective of communication studies, anthropology, deconstructs the moral lecture in a ritual context, analysis the symbolic elements in the ceremony, and on this basis, studies the results of group communication within a moral lecture.The study found that, Dacheng Hall has long been the accumulation of a certain cultural effect, which forms a cultural foundation for moral lecture. Essentially as one of the means of moral education, moral lecture uses a combination of a variety of symbolic elements, which constitutes a new ritual context. The content production and expression within the activity is close to the audience psychology, and able to arouse the collective memory of the participants in the traditional culture, so as to achieve effective participation in the ceremony.When the moral education is ritualized, participants formed a group communication mechanism. Investigation of the dissemination of results of the group can be found by the audiences from the level of cognition, attitudes, behavior, and the corresponding changes in the dissemination of results. At the same time, because of the audience targeting, the stereotype of the formalism, as well as the dissemination of the contents being out of touch and other factors, the opposite effects of spreading appear.Study finally concluded that the experience of the Great Hall moral lecture is a mechanism which is based on its effect on the establishment in a certain cultural formation. When carrying out moral lecture it is vital to inherit ancient ritual connotation in order to build a relatively good cultural core. If copying this leture around in the future, it should be trying to find moral lecture environment and traditional culture, the depth of contact, and digging out one of the classical cultural origins. Meanwhile, in the ceremony it is important "to the individual" as far as possible and to firmly establish equality between people involved in the concept, and finally to create an environment full of symbolic elements.
