During the reform of basic education curriculum in the new century, educators fromall fields are committed to exploring the ways to further implement the concepts and objectives of the new curriculum reform. In the process of carrying out new physics curriculum in high school, due to its unique teaching effects, DIS physics experiment teaching has been the focus of attention and research among scholars and teachers. The thesis consists of six chapters, elaborating the reasons for choosing this topic and its significance, research purposes and methods. It reviews the research status at home and abroad on topics including physics experiment teaching, inquiry physics experiment teaching, physics experiment teaching based on DIS; it explores learning theory, instructional theory and curriculum theory of the DIS physics experiment teaching; it investigates the configuration of DIS physics experiment, the use of DIS by teachers and students and teachers’ understanding of DIS in Nanjing high schools; it analyses the potential contributing and restrictive factors in the development of DIS physics experiment teaching in Nanjing. Through surveys and interviews, it is found that a very important factor that hinders the development of DIS physics experiment teaching is the difficulty in developing inquiry DIS physical experiment cases, which results in the lack of inquiry DIS physics experiment teaching cases of high quality. By reading a lot of literature and under the guidance of Mr. Xu, I design four inquiry DIS test cases and four inquiry DIS student grouping cases and give detailed analysis about them. Meanwhile I sum up the teaching functions of DIS physics experiment teaching in high schools and propose some suggestions about its implementation according to surveys and cases.
