Currently, the phenomenon that people are having wrong knowledge about obligation, defying obligation and escaping from obligation causes my reflection, and I began to think it from the angle of education. This thesis is a research on obligation education, and it focus on the role the teaching material played on the obligation. The provisions Constitution used for citizen groups and individual citizen duties are used as a standard, and "sections" are used as an analytical unit, the paper analyses17textbooks pressed by People’s Education Press. Based on the distribution of the macroscopic and microscopic text content (including words and pictures), teaching material organization structure, content analysis of the results is presented, the paper reflects and evaluates the function teaching material played on the citizens’ constitutional duty. The paper believes that on the aspect of the citizens’ constitutional obligations, the teaching material has realized the following points:the basic concept and knowledge of citizens’ constitutional obligation has got a thorough and clear expression, the teaching material content has explained the method and the way of performancing a compulsory and how to put it into practice. There are still some shortcomings in the teaching material, the problems caused by the citizens’ constitutional obligations are as follows:the overall statistics lay particular stress on the citizens’ constitutional obligations, the expression are too imperative, and classification statistics lay particular emphasis on the state power will; the textbook compilation still need to improve from the following points:seeing the obligation in the overall statistics from the right angle, the explaination of utilitarian logic in the teaching materials, the question set of "answer to oneself tendencies and not giving students questions space, the missing of the value of the comprehensive semantic, a improper ratio of positive and negative value of the illustrations, the problems of time and phase ratio organization structure used in citizens’ constitutional obligation. Based on aforesaid, according to the certain theory, the paper provides some suggestions for textbook compilation.
