This article multiply used documents, questionnaire, interview, statistics andratiocination carefully studied the basic factors, teaching process, teaching effect and currentproblems of basketball optional class of public physical education in Hebei province.According to staff condition teaching environment teaching method and students’ valueorientation the thesis intends to analyze and discuss the problems of current basketball sportmet,and find the elements which restrict the development of elective thus put forward thecorresponding development countermeasure and the suggestion. All the above aims to changetraditional basketball teaching ideas, fully improve quality-oriented education and basketballoptional program and the quality of basketball optional of Hebei province.Through analysis and research, the writer summarizes the following conclusions:1. It can meet the students’ need and improve their interesting of study, it benefitsfor improving sports ability and basketball teaching, fulfilling education goal andall-life exercises.2. The most teachers of basketball optional are young; some of them are notmajored in basketball. Most of them are good at basketball, serious attitude aboutteaching, reasonable title of technical post, but lacking of master degree andattending in advanced studies, simple teachers origin, and unhealthy teachingconditions are the main factors of influence on teaching.3. The students are very interest in basketball optional and serious about studying;the equipments basically can meet their needs. But the short studying course,crowded students and their bad base of basketball are the main factors ofinfluence on teaching quality.4. The teaching content focuses too much on passing tactics and lifting quality, butmuch less on how to develop emotional teaching and help students develop theability of mental regulation and social adaptation. Teaching method to is oversimplex, it cannot mobilize students’ enthusiasm.5. The estimate contents are unperfected and the methods are unreasonable. The estimate emphasis on basketball skills and ignore the improvement and moralcharacter; the estimate methods and estimator are simple, which mainly areteachers estimate and finality estimate. There is lacking of fully understanding ofestimate standard and gist that can embody the characteristics of high schoolbasketball optional.
