There is a big difference between high school and middle school in the teaching content,teaching methods, and learning styles, so the phenomenon of maladjustment on high schoolfreshmen is common, especially in mathematics subject. This phenomenon is not onlyleading to a general decline in math scores of high school freshmen, but also affecting thewhole high school mathematics learning. Therefore, convergence of middle schoolmathematics teaching is a high-stage problem to be solved.Researched on the issue, while seeing a lot of literature, the author analyzes thecharacteristics of the local education. Our county is located in the southwest of ZhangjiakouCity, the mountainous areas of Taihang Mountains. The transport is inconvenient, and theeducation is relatively backward. So the research of convergence of mathematics teachingcombining with the local current education status has an important meaning and value.Through statistics of the achievements of local high school freshman and the analysis offactors which caused the convergence problem of middle school mathematics teaching,theauthor obtains that the main factor of the convergence problem is the difference of the middleand high school textbooks, secondary factors are environmental factors, psychological factors,teaching factors and students’ factors. At the same time, the author conducts a questionnairesurvey, testing, interviews and materials contrast in the local, comprehensively grasps thesituation of the convergence in the local, and proposes a number of proposals and measuresto solve the problem of convergence combining with the local educational characteristics.Through the comprehensive analysis and comparison of these survey results, the authorconcludes that under the curriculum standard, the convergence problem of mathematicsteaching between middle and high school are widespread and gradually improved to a finalsettlement. Only to propose a targeted strategies combining with the practical education canfundamentally solve the problem of convergence. The smooth progress of the curriculumreform will promote the solution of the problem of convergence.The past, studies of the teaching convergence problem were mostly in a general sense,and common throughout the study of such problems. However, different regions havedifferent education, no specific measures is difficult to achieve significant results. Innovation of this paper is based on the facts of the local education. The author integrates the generalfactors of the problem of convergence and the unique factors of this region, according toeducational characteristics of the region and proposes a series of measures and strategies forthe regional education. For example,summarizing the convergence knowledge which issuitable for students of this region,carrying out the “weekly lesson” to promote teachers’understanding of the curriculum standard textbooks, organizing middle and high schoolteachers to participate in exchange activities of teaching experiences and so on.Some measures have been implemented in school and achieve good results, some ofwhich have to wait for the test of practice.
