From1980’s, we began a further study in education reform and education mode innovation.Experimental and innovative class in universities solution is one move in innovativeeducation and testing ground for talents training in undergraduate education in China.Nowadays the experimental and innovative class in universities develop into severalcategories including arts, science and engineering which has its own characteristiceducation concepts and cultivation mode each.In the development process,Qian Xuesenquestion, innovation and state-building, first-class university building accelerate thedevelopment of the experimental and innovative class in universities.In this paper, theauthor describes the theoretical basis and the problems of the experimental andinnovative class in China’s Universities. This paper takes Engineering Experimental Classin Chu Kochen Honors school of Zhejiang University, Yuanpei experimental class ofPeking University, Bo Ling experimental class of Nankai University, the livelihoodexperimental class of the Foreign economic and Trade University, innovative andpioneering experimental class of Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus as differentcategories of colleges and universities innovative experimental class research, analyzes thecurrent situation and problems of experimental and innovative class in China’suniversities.Meanwhile, we take the Shandong University of Finance and innovativeexperimental class as a case study in order to provide the Shandong University of Financeand Economics and the whole country a theoretical basis and practical experience in theexperimental and innovative class development.This paper has five parts. The first part outlines the background and significance of thestudy I did. Literature Review gives an introduction of current development status andresearch findings,summarize the relevant content and gives out the research topics. Thesecond part does a research in theoretic basis. The third part analyzes the development andstatus of the experimental and innovative class in universities, summarize its characteristicsand trend and at last point out the problems in now experimental and innovative class inuniversities. The fourth part provides solutions of the problems mentioned above and also areference for talents training innovation. Lastly, we take Shandong University of Finance and Economics as a case study to find out its development status and the existing problems,propose countermeasures and provide reference for the experimental and innovativepractice for Shandong University of Finance and Economics.
