The purpose of this essay is to explore the present system of arteducation throughout rural primary and middle schools within Hebei Province.As a result of research, analysis and summary of ecological-typeeducational theory, and by combining the present standards of art educationto be found in some middle and primary schools within the Handan rural area,this essay proposes new measures for the development of art education inthese schools. These proposals are: to establish the ecological-type arteducational theory as a starting point; to train teachers to engage in theecological-type art education; to construct an ecological-type educationalenvironment; to develop ecological-type art educational resources; and toexplore the teaching pedagogy of an ecological-type art education, so asto improve the present low quality art teaching situation of rural middleand primary schools in Hebei Province; and to truly realize the value ofart teaching that establishes a solid foundation for developing highquality talent for society.The main challenge of this study is how to adjust changes to fit localconditions to make improvements to rural middle and primary school arteducation based on the existing conditions within provincial rural areas.Especially, how to change the education disadvantages into advantages forrural areas through ecological-type art education, and to establish acertain base-line standard for revolutionary development and relatedpolicies of rural area art education.
