In the21st century, social informatization is highly developed and information technology has been widely applied in all walks of life. Educational informatization has become the requirement and inevitable result of education facing with the information society. In order to deal with the challenges brought by the information era to education, we should efficiently reform the traditional educational ideas, teaching models, teaching management and such other elements, and higher demands are placed on teachers as well. Information technology is regarded as the first experimental subject of the curriculum reform, while both from the perspective of the discipline level and from the requirements of the overall educational reform, it is necessary to explore new teaching models which can adapt to information technology education and the development of the era. Therefore, the teaching models of information technology in senior high schools need to be changed substantively."Algorithm and program design" module is one of the important modules of this course, and has a significant role in exercising the mentality of students, improving their problem-solving skills, and enhancing the information literacy of students. Curriculum standards of both national and Jiangsu have included this module. However, in many senior high schools including my experimental school, there still some confusion about the instruction on this module, if their highest goal is rather than through academic examination, and therefore it is in urgent need of better ways to improve. The model of JITT, which came from America, is a kind of teaching model based on the interaction of "web-based study assignment" and "an active learner classroom". This model fully reflects the concepts and ideas of Blending Learning, which means the integration of the traditional face-to-face teaching and the digital teaching. This model does not ignore the dominat position of the teachers, meanwhile, it pays attention to the students’self-efficacy as the leading character in learning.In this paper, the author combined the theory research and the practice research, made a comparative experiment between the experimental class and the control class, and used the method of action research. It demonstrated that the application of JITT model in senior high school information technology teaching played an important role in improving the students’academic performance of information technology, developing their interest in information technology course and also developing their cooperative skills. The practice research in this paper can be used as the reference for the teachers who want to apply JITT model in their teaching, and also can be used as a scientific basis for enriching and perfecting the relevant theories.Using the previous research methods as a source of reference, this paper made a deep study of the application of JITT model in senior high school information technology course. The paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction, which describes the background, Study of the problem, research status of JITT model, content, methods, significance and framework of this research.The second part expounds the theory of JITT model. It tells about the origination, connotation, objectives, focuses, implementation steps, and expounds JITT theoretical basis. Based on the theories of constructivism, behaviorism and humanism, it analyses the theoretical basis of JITT model.The third part is about the experimental study of applying JITT model in senior high school information technology teaching. Based on the theoretical study above, using the method of action research, the author designs the practice research of JITT-based information technology teaching in senior high schools and also analyses the results of this practice.The fourth part is the conclusion, which discusses the conclusions of this research, analyses the drawbacks in the research and forecasts the further research in this field.
