Relational Research Of University Students’ Life Emotional Intelligence And Self Consistency And Congruence And Subjective Well-being

This study is going to investigate the level and characteristics of college students’emotional intelligence，self consistence and congruence，and subjective well-beings；it usesEIS，SCCS and GWB as the research tools and college students as test objects. Based on this，it will further prove the relationship between emotional intelligence and subjectivewell-beings，as well as the relationship between self consistence and congruence andsubjective well-beings. The relationship between emotional intelligence and self consistenceand congruence will be investigated，and the study will also discuss whether emotionalintelligence acts as a mediating effect between self consistence and congruence and subjectivewell-beings，to have some deeper understanding of the interactive system among the three.The major result is as bellow：1. College students’ emotional intelligence have great differences based on the students’hometowns. Students from cities have higher points than those from countries. However, bhedifferences in gender and major are not very obvious.2. College students’ self consistency and congruence are different from each otherbecause of different gender or major. Female students is much higher than male, and studentsof art and history is better than those of science and technology. According to students’hometowns, students from cities and countries are of little difference, and only in the aspect ofself flexibility, city students behave better.3. On the level and characteristics of subjective well-beings, there is no differencebetween male and female; city students and country students; students of art and history andof science and technology.4. The relationship between emotional intelligence and subjective well-beings ispositive correlated, and the level of self emotional control has some predictive effort onsubjective well-beings.5. The relationship between self consistence and congruence and subjective well-beingsis obviously negative correlated. Higher level of subjective well-beings means higher selfconsistence and congruence. The level of inconsistence between self and experience and the level of self flexibility can somehow predict one’s subjective well-beings.6. Self consistence and congruence and emotional intelligence is negative correlated,too. Higher level of emotional intellegence means higher self consistence and congruence.7. Emotional intelligence plays a mediative effect between self consistence andcongruence and subjective well-beings.
