Personnel training can be divided into two categories, namely academic personnel training and application-oriented/professional personnel training. Master of Education is a professional degree. The program prepares potential teaching staff and educational administrators of primary and secondary schools. The high-level application-oriented talents not only need to have a certain level of theory and research capacity, but should also attain strong practical ability and professional skills. Accordance to the decision of the Ministry of Education, starting from2009, undergraduates in all majors except Education Managemenf are allowed to enroll a full-time Master of Education program. According to the educational goals and characteristics of full-time students (with no working experiences), practical training is of importance in the curriculum. Within the factors that influence the quality of Education Master Cultivation, the overall quality and academic level of tutorial team plays a decisive role. Therefore, the introduction of "Double-tutor System" is academically needed. Along with the introduction of relevant policies and the reform in postgraduate cultivation pattern, universities promise to put into practice. But how-far has it been done? Does it help? Does it meet our expectation? How to maximize its function? These are worth investigating.Methodologies, such as literature review, investigation and comparison method, were used in the study. The investigation was carried out at three universities in Jiangxi Province. By looking into rules and regulations, practice and results of "Double-tutor System", we have got an general impression of the implementation of "Double-tutor System". Furthermore, we try to come up with possible suggestions by studying on related practices in other regions and nations. This thesis is divided into five parts:Part I:A brief introduction of research background, research questions, research methods, and literature review.Part â…ˇ:Definition of related terms, background and political basis of "Double-tutor System", reason, practical basis and significance of introducing the system.Part III:Survey and analysis. By using literature review, interviews and investigation, discuss the results of the implementation of "Double-tutor System" in Jiangxi province.Part IV:Problem-solving. Basing on current status especially problems found, look onto related practices in other regions and nations and try to come up with possible proposal.Part V:Conclusion and future prospects, including basic conclusion of this study, weakness, and suggestions for future research.
