With the rapid development of the social economy and politics, the demand for the quality of talent has been increasing. The society has a growing need for people that has both scientific and humanistic quality. Now vocational education that occupies half of the higher education of our country is focused much more on general skills then humanities, and the lack of humanistic quality has been a very important obstacle to personal and social development. In this context, the reform of the humanistic education in the higher vocational colleges has been a problem that needs to be solved. This thesis starts from the reality and discuss the problem exists in the education of humanistic quality in vocational colleges, and try to have some contribution for the reform and development of vocational education.This thesis investigates systematically on the humanistic education in higher vocational colleges, applying the research methods of documentation method and comparative approach. The thesis mainly includes the three parts below: The first part is about the theory of the humanistic education in higher vocational colleges. The thesis starts with the analysis of humanistic education’s connotation, and summarizes the contents of the humanistic quality education in vocational colleges. It can be divided into three parts:the knowledge of humanities education, the education of humanistic spirit and the education of professionalism. Then analyze the meaning of the humanistic quality education. The second part is about the problems and the reasons of the humanistic education in higher vocational colleges. There are mainly four problems: The curriculum is not very reasonable. The quality of the teachers needs to be improved. The teaching method needs to be improved. The humanistic education lacks of occupational characteristics. The reasons that lead to these problems can be summarized as consciousness and system. The third part is about some suggestions to solve the problems. First, establish the correct idea of higher vocational education. Second, build a scientific curriculum system. Third, improve the teaching methods. Forth, enhancing the construction of the campus culture.
