As an undergraduate,the author has done researches on the interests of college students.The results show that college students do not have a clear understanding of their own interests,that is,they do not know what their interests are.And the notion that “learning with interest” is unpractical.The author attaches great importance to middle school students' interest in learning physics during the work and study,and finds that students' interest is basically in a short state.It is observed that students' interest in learning physics is evident if it is stimulated,and vice versa.That is to say,middle school students' interest in learning physics is not persistent.Therefore,this study aims to explore the possible strategies of middle school students ' lasting interest in learning physics.According to the theory and practice,the development of middle school students ' interest in learning physics is studied,and thus the function and classification of interest are explored,more often on the basis of personal interest in practicing calligraphy,the observations on the interests of classmates and students,as well as the relevant literature and the investigation of students' learning situation of physics.This study is more focused on the possible strategies of cultivating students' lasting interest in learning physics,not on the influence of other factors on students' interest in learning physics,such as gender,age,exam scores,etc.It is because thorough studies in the field have been provided by the teachers in Huxiangling and other educators.Those studies are very important reference value to this study.The different levels of students,learning location,as well as learning time will affect students ' interest,because the study is based on the real situation of the students in real life.The research object of this study is the physics learning interest of9 th grade students in Shanghai Xinzhuyuan Middle School.Through exchanges and discussions with students and teachers during the two-month internship,a basic understanding of students' interest in learning physics is acquired according to the qualitative analysis.Then the questionnaire is designed,and the students' overall physical learning situation will be quantified.Finally,the possible strategies of cultivating middle school students ' lasting interest in learning physics and their applicability are discussed according to students' overall physical learning situation.Through the qualitative analysis and the questionnaire survey,it is found that the condition of middle school students' interest in learning physics is generally good.Based on this fact,the strategies of cultivating students' interest in learning physicsare explored from four perspectives: 1)the classification of interest in the west;2)the development of interest;3)the interaction between direct interest and indirect interest:4)the relationship between broad interest and central interest.Finally,the results are presented that the student's interest in learning physics is generally getting better.However,it is also faced with difficulties,for instance,the teacher's loss of teaching physics,the narrow space of time and space,the student's poor consciousness etc.It is believed that with the gradual deepening and all-round development of the curriculum reform,students' interest in learning physics will be taken seriously.
