Teaching about the historical figure of the intellectual content is an important partof history teaching in middle schools. The history teaching in high school is the spiritof the ideological and moral qualities and personalities of the students as the maintask. The use of the historical figure of the intellectual content of moral education andcharacter education has become an effective way. Based on the above understanding, Ibelieve that the current research on the teaching of historical figures should not onlybe focus on the value and function of the teaching of historical figures from thetheoretical level, but also should be concerned more about the high school historyclass in character teaching from a practical level, and student learning. And furthermore full attention should be put into teaching activities which is closely related to thewriting of history textbooks. The understanding of the actual situation of the teachingon the secondary historical figures, and practical advice to the improvement of theeducational and teaching activities, thus can contribute to a better implement theeducational function of character teaching, thus achieving the basic goal of qualityeducation.In this study, the theories and methods of historical pedagogy investigation ofteaching in high school’s historical figures, statistics, collate, compare PEP data onhistorical figures in the old and new edition textbooks, revealing the current highschool history teaching character of teaching in the status quo, thereby analyze thePEP high school history textbooks for the preparation of the intellectual content ofhistorical figures, and to explore the high school history classroom to carry out theeffectiveness of the teaching methods of historical figures, and to improve classroomteaching and textbook writing operability recommendations. This study actually try tocomplete the task of the teaching of history in the practice of classroom teaching insenior high schools to implement the goal of history education, which has theimportance of theoretical and practical significance.
