“Learning communities” is a group which is constitute of the learners and theassistances, they often communicate、connect each other and share all the studyresources, then they finish the task together. The foundation of learning communitiesis very important to improve teaching effect and learning efficiency.The article begins with the concept of “communities”, arranges the thread of theresearch results about “learning communities”, analysis the meaning and theeducational value, exhaustive illustrates the basic theories (the theory of SubjectEducation, the theory of Social Constructivism, the theory of InterpersonalCommunication and the theory of Group Dynamics), and summarizes the criticalcharacteristics of the learning communities in the class.Based the theoretical study, the article puts forth the design theory and designmethods of instruction from three dimensions: the task of teaching、the scenes ofteaching and the teaching activities. Then the article advances a model of instructionaldesign, which would promote the “learning communities” to play a big role in class.
