In learning Chinese traditional poetry, recitation method is considered as a goodway to read poetry all the time. As a poetry appreciation method which is artistic andeffective, recitation method is generally applied by scholars and learners fromgeneration to generation. However, with history moving forward, this methoddisappears for a time. And now, with the serious attention of our country, therecitation method is coming back to people’s life as a pure science, but it’s just aartistical performance on the stage instead of a teaching method back with delay intothe most familiar Chinese classroom.This essay writes from poetry teaching’s misunderstanding region in present highschool, and puts forward that Chinese teacher should try to use recitation method inChinese lessons on the new courses background, so that the recitation method couldexpress its original function after it combines with the new courses standard. With thecombination of contemporary person’s discussion about recitation, the recitation isdefined simply in this essay, also it strongly analyzed its meaning and value toChinese teacher, student and itself after it coming back to Chinese lessons. Meanwhile,After annalizing the basis of recitation method’s application to ancient poetry’steaching from the angle of history, Chinese language and ancient poetry, somevaluable principle have been proposed to apply in contemporary Chinese lessons byusing this traditional teaching method. Sets of specific operation method is listed withthe combination of teaching process. Also, some workable training suggestion havebeen raised to college students and on-the-job teachers due to short of teachers in thisaspect, so that this would provide a fast way to make this pure science inherited.Based on the theory and practice faces, this essay is written to provide anavailable implementation environment for traditional recitation method in teachingancient poetry. By using such an traditional and effective teaching method, the highschool Chinese education which is in a dilemma is expected to have somereformation.
