Recently, the relationships of high school students confront many problems under the pressure of intense college entrance exam competition. The relationships of high school students play an important role on there socialization and mental development. There are many factors relate to it, and this study mainly discuss the factor-college entrance exam competition. The study, using qualitative research method, starts with an investigation on the state of Y high school students’interpersonal relationships. I conducted a month of fieldwork in Y high school. I talked with many students, teachers and parents. At the same time, I conducted participant observations in Y high school. By using the theory of Field, I make description and analysis about the college entrance examination field firstly. And then I discuss the connection between this field and others. The field, which influenced by the economic field and education field inevitably, makes personnel selection and elimination. Secondly, I collect information about the state of students’interpersonal relationships in Y high school through the way of participant observation and interview, which include peer relationship, teacher-student relationship and parent-child relationship. After that, I use the famous theory of Field and Habitus to analyze the state of interpersonal relationships of high school students. The peer relationship is showing alienation along with competition. The relationship between teachers and students is cooperative and conflict. The parent-child relationship is also full of problems; the children always conflict with their parents. At last, some related countermeasures and proposals are proposed in order to improve the relationship: the people in the field should know how to reflect on their own actions and improve interpersonal relationships actively; we should ask for a reformation of the current examination-oriented education and the college entrance examination system, and an adjustment of college admission area quota should be pursued in the area of social policy.
