Universities in China have20more years of operating Athletics Team history,achieving remarkable progress and winning the honor for schools even the country,but a lot of conflicts and contradictions exist in the process, which hinder its healthydevelopment in the long-term. For this situation, this essay, using theory, literatureresearch, expert analysis and research and logic, conducts a in-depth discussion onmanagement synergy mode in higher level university sports teams, with an aim toimprove the management of university sports teams, and provide useful reference forthe development of College Athletics.Our current situations shows that the current gap exists in inability to achieve thedesired level of sports performance, difficulties in recruiting the top sports talents,unformed sports brands, poor accomplishments in winning glory for the country andthe school, poor quality of personnel training, shortage of funds and nonstandardmanagement system. Furthermore, the management conflicts in high-level sportsteams can be summarized as conflict management authority conflicts, sectionsmanagement conflicts, personnel selection conflicts, learning–training conflicts,resource use conflicts, the project settings conflicts, technology services andcompetition system conflicts.Drawing on management synergy, we can conclude thathigh level sports team management contain such elements such as the main goals,projects, personnel, funding, training, competition, cultural learning, scientificresearch organization and management, material conditions and social culture. Itsopportunities for management synergy include goal orientation and organizationalmanagement, project development and layout, recruitment selection and personneltraining, financing utilization, level of training and competition superiority, culturallearning and training competition, technological innovation and technology services,development and rational use of material conditions, cultural building and brandbuilding.This mode is primarily based on the social demands, educational needs,athletic development needs and management practice demand, whose basiccomponents involve in targeting and management synergy and those mentioned above.Management of university sports teams is a complex multi-dimensional collaborativemodel, whose operation mechanism has formation mechanism for management,implementation mechanism and effect mechanisms. Its major features are reflected in science, integrity, objectivity and non-linear and dynamic nature. Its construction canprovide a useful reference for the construction and development for the high levelsports teams in China.
