Since the reform and opening up, a large number of floating population into thecity, promoting the city process, at the same time, the problem of floating populationhas become increasingly prominent, including migrant children’s compulsoryeducation has gradually been the concern of the community. The floating populationis the emergence of China’s social and economic development in the new group,made outstanding contribution for development of their city, but it has not been acorresponding return in medical, health, social security and education of theirchildren and so on, many problems have aroused the attention of governments at alllevels. To solve the problem of floating population, meet the reasonable demand offloating population has important practical significance for China’s construction ofsocialist harmonious society.In August30,2009, the State Council passed the "China Tumen riverdevelopment cooperation program--resolution to Changjitu forerunner area" for the.In5years, Chang-Ji-Tu area increasing investment, more vibrant social andeconomic development, attracting a large number of floating population. Have madeoutstanding contributions to the floating population of Chang-Ji-Tu region and theeconomic and social development of Jilin province. New characteristics because ofthe floating population has a "family migration", the compulsory education problemof Chang-Ji-Tu Suiqian children of floating population has become increasingly prominent, attention.In order to better grasp the floating population of Chang-Ji-Tu area, understandtheir needs, to provide better services to the floating population, Jilin University andJilin provincial population and Family Planning Commission jointly set up aninvestigation group, investigation of the floating population in Chang-Ji-Tu area. Inthis paper, using the data of the survey of floating population with the compulsoryeducation problem of the Suiqian children. In order to make the research moretargeted, from the questionnaire by screening questionnaire for children of thefloating population in the compulsory education stage consists of361parts,including children with292people moved,69people the children not to move. Thequestionnaire sample children did not move the quantity is less, so the move ofcompulsory education for children with the map of the study on the floatingpopulation.In the first part of this paper describes the research on compulsory education ofchildren of floating population of Chang-Ji-Tu national background as well as theregional background, purpose and significance of the compulsory education problemof children of floating population as well as the research of Chang-Ji-Tu region.Introduces the research methods and data sources of this article, and explains thedefinition of related concepts.The second part mainly elaborates the theories related to migrant children’scompulsory education, and to review and summarize the domestic researchachievements about migrant children’s compulsory education.The third part from the children’s school choice, whether to suffer the sametreatment, and the local children drop out of school in three aspects of thecompulsory education of children of floating population by descriptive analysis,understand some relevant education status of children of floating population effect.The fourth part from the children’s school choice, whether to suffer the sametreatment, and the local children drop out of school in three aspects, to study the regression analysis by using the two category Logistic.The fifth part for the regression of descriptive analysis and classification of twoLogistic results, find the influence of floating population with the related influencingfactors to move the compulsory education of the children and some of the problems,and puts forward the countermeasures aiming at these factors and problems.
