With the rapid development of China’s information technology, economic development moreand more depends on knowledge and technical innovation, and the social demand for high qualitytalent is also increasing. In order to comply with the demand, the scale of graduate education isexpanding rapidly with a fast increase in number. Thus the imbalance problems have emergedbetween scale of graduate education and educational resource, which cause the decline of thequality of graduate education. Related to the national science and technology and the level ofdevelopment of productive forces, the quality of graduate education influences and restricts theimprovement of the country’s comprehensive national strength and international competitiveness.The quality of education is the fundamental driving force of the reform of graduate education.Information science graduate education takes education quality as the ultimate goal of managementand development, constantly improving education management system and the quality of education,cultivating high-quality compounds talents for the society, which plays an important role in theknowledge and technical innovation.Quality management theory as a scientific and effective modern management theory has beensuccessfully applied in enterprise management. Information Science graduate education should beintroduced to the theory of quality management, timely adjustment of the education managementmodel, the establishment of educational quality management system, and carry out performanceevaluation of quality management. All of which turn information science graduate education fromexperiential education management into science education management, enhance the vitality ofinformation science graduate education, and improve the quality of education.This article mainly launches the research from seven aspects. The first part is the summary ofresearch status both at home and abroad, mainly on the current quality management theory andapplication research in the field of education and the development status of information scienceprofessional. The second part analyzes the information science postgraduate education qualitymanagement theory, mainly on theories related to ISO quality management standards. The analysiscarries out in detail from the concept of the theory, structure, characteristics and application process of quality management theory. The third part is the investigation and analysis of China’seducation and training of information science graduate from the three aspects of informationscience graduate education management agencies, resource management and training process. Thefourth part is the study of the quality management system construction of information graduateeducation, including the construction principles, construction methods, construction of educationquality management system of information postgraduate education and detailed analysis of thequality management system. The fifth part is the research of performance evaluation system ofinformation science postgraduate education, including establishment of index system anddetermination of the weighing values of assessment indexes, etc. The sixth part is the empiricalresearch to Shanxi University of Finance&Economics as an example to the information sciencepostgraduate education quality management system analysis and the practice of informationscience postgraduate education by fuzzy evaluation method performance evaluation of empiricalresearch. The seventh part provides strategies for the implementation of the quality managementsystem of information science postgraduate education to improve the quality of the informationscience postgraduate education.
