With the deepening of our educational reform and the developmentof educational approaches, the information-based educationalconditions in many Chinese universities have been greatly improved.Information technology has been changing the learning styles ofcollege students at an amazing rate, thus promoting educationalreform through information-based educational approaches hasbecome a vital issue in the field of Chinese education. In terms of thegoals of talent training, strengthening the practicing ability of all thecollege students is an essential reform orientation of talent-traininggoals in contemporary China. In terms of educational patterns,traditional classroom teaching and e-learning coexist and both havetheir respective advantages.In terms of teaching principles, teaching patterns, teachingmethods as well as teaching instruments, traditional teachingapproach singularly emphasizes the training of knowledge-orientedtalent, ignoring practicing ability of the college students. However, strengthening the practicing ability of college students is in urgentneed of the innovation of teaching surroundings and instruments.E-learning is an efficient approach to combine theory-learning withpracticing ability cultivation, possessing the advantages ofteaching-material variety, high intensity, explicit interaction,emphasis on learners’ autonomy as well as the inspiration of learners’motivation. Surely, the great contributions of traditional approach inChinese talent training can not be denied, and classroom teachingcan’t be replaced by e-learning totally on the basis of teachers’guiding role in learners’ learning. Thus, how to improve students’practicing ability, through the combination of traditional approachand e-learning, is the main research question of the thesis.The thesis is through a systematic analysis of the advantages anddisadvantages of traditional teaching approach and e-learningapproach, under the guidance of blend-learning theory and otherresearch findings, to further explore the compatibility of the twoapproaches. On the basis of the above analysis, the researcher is toconstruct a hybrid teaching approach oriented to the training ofstudents’ practicing ability. In addition, the thesis is to conduct anempirical study on the teaching effects of the hybrid teachingapproach.The research shows that: Professional knowledge and professional skills are the foundation of students’ practicing ability.Traditional teaching approach plays an irreplaceable role in theacquisition of students’ major knowledge. However, thetransformation from professional knowledge to the ability of solvingpractical problems is by no means easy given the singularity ofteaching methods and instruments in the traditional approach and thelack of appropriate surroundings. E-learning plays a significant role inthe transformation from professional knowledge to professional skillsto professional practicing ability. Hybrid teaching approach, on thebasis of the compatibility of traditional teaching approach ande-learning approach, is able to make full use of the teachingadvantages of the two approaches and good to the formation andimprovement of students’ practicing ability.
