As a kind of improvise and informal performance, creative drama is a common theatre form in Europe and United States. The purpose is to prompt the participants’ growth of personality and effective learning, not training stage actors. Applying creative drama to education helps improve variety kinds of abilities of learners, such as imagination ability, creativity, interpersonal skills, communication skills and so on, and especially has obvious effect on the growth of oral expression ability of learners.Unlike European and US, the role of creative drama plays has not been widely recognized in our country. Lacking the process of "learn during practice""spoon-feed" and "indoctrination" methods which are often used in elementary and secondary schools increase the knowledge but decrease the abilities of students. Along with the appearance of a series of education policy in China, the drama has been enhanced to a level parallel to music, art and dance; Also, the population concerning and studying drama is increasing. However, the existing studies show it’s not often to combine specific period or specific disciplines with creative drama. So this subject is focusing on:the application of creative dramas in teaching Chinese during junior middle school period.In order to accordingly study, the author went to the "front line" of Chinese teaching in middle school, while illustrating the theory. In the process of practice, the author accumulated lots of teaching cases, rethought and discussed how to combine the creative drama and Chinese teaching in junior middle school, and summarized some proposals to provide a reference for front-line teachers.
