Physics course standard of full-time compulsory education (2011version)clearly pointed out that the need to cultivate students with higher experimental inquiryability and basic scientific literacy, and to train students’ inquiry ability and discoverthe truth in experimental inquiry process. The traditional mode in high school physicsexperiment is influenced by the site, equipment and time. In the process of students’operation, it is difficult for everyone to participate in the experiment, which restrictsthe cultivation of students’ practical ability and innovation ability. This new standardpoints out that “Advocating diversified teaching methods and paying attention toscientific inquiry ability". Under the direction of the new standard, multimediateaching is the developing trend of the modern education technology. Virtualexperiment which is based on computer will occupy a certain position in education inthe future. Compared with the traditional experimental teaching mode, virtualexperiment eased the current situation that the experimental equipment is not enoughcaused by lacking funds. It also can avoid the danger caused by real operation, breakthe limit of space, time and equipments. At the same time it can foster students’independent experiment innovation ability.Guided by the theory of cultivating junior middle school students’ experimentexploring ability, I did a research about the influence of Virtual Experiment on juniormiddle school students’ scientific inquiry ability. The main works of this paper arecarried out as follows:(1) To introduce the new standard’s attention to the experimentexploring ability and the decision to put virtual experiment in physics teachingaccording to the superiority of virtual experiment. And to discuss how does itinfluence scientific inquiry ability.(2) To provide reference for instructional design by the analysis of the study of scientific inquiry ability and virtual experiment.(3)Toselect one school whose teaching conditions and the experimental equipments aresimple. Choosing two classes in the same grade as research objects and adopting twokinds of teaching methods: the virtual experiment and the demonstrative experiment.After a semester, we use SPSS to statistics the influence of these two kinds ofteaching mode impact on students’ experiment inquiry ability according to the datacollection.
