For many years, the freshman lack interpersonal skills has become one of the major reasons,that influencing their learning life.At the same time, the phenomenon had caught the attention of many scholars and educators in the colleges and universities.And scholars try to use multiple disciplines to explore problems of college students interpersonal skills.From the perspective of the social work, group work as one of the three methods of social work, and the growth group is the type of gruop work.and.Growth group emphasized that through the interaction between team members, the use of group dynamics, and led the team members to change and growth from the aspects such as thinking, sensibility and behavior awareness and deep reflection.Therefore, the paper take "growth group’s influence on freshman interpersonal skills" as the research subject, the main method that through the experiment, and take the growth group as the intervention group (stimulus) technique, for freshmen in lack of interpersonal ability, which discuss growth group’s impact on freshman interpersonal skills.I selected a ordinary universities in sichuan province as the investigation scope.and from the school mental health center database and extraction of200freshman in school, and application of the university of California, Los Angeles, a psychologist at the establishment of "interpersonal skills assessment questionnaire"(Chinese version) to measure and select the28score range (60-80points) in the same freshman (interpersonal ability weak) as the research object of this topic.In the experiment, at the first, take the28freshmen were randomly divided into two groups which experimental group and control group. On the one hand, I will be take14freshman composition of the experimental group called "you and me together" growth group, and to carry out activities for1.5months,which the total of9times the growth of the group activities.On the other hand, control group has not taken any interventions.After the group activities, I take theinterpersonal skills assessment questionnaire that make a few adjustments with sequence to test the freshman whose in control group. Then,comparison the experimental and control gruop between before test and after test.And compraison between the experimental group and control group including before and after test. As well as the experimental group and control group includes interpersonal skills, self-disclosure skills, active communication skills, conflict management skills, appropriate refuse skills, compared the five dimensions. Main research conclusion is as follows:1. The growth group have a significant effect in improving and enhancing the freshman’s interpersonal ability, and the test data that the before of experimental group and after of test data show that growth group on the improvement of college students interpersonal skills have a positive impact.2.Through the develop of growth group,the freshman’s interpersonal skills of initiative communication ability and self-disclosure ability are more likely to be improved.3. Professional social work values (respect, acceptance, equality and understanding) in the application of growth group helps team members to improve interpersonal communication, listen to others, express themselves, actively participate in awareness.4.Growing group to help freshman adapt to university life in a certaion extent.
