At the beginning of the century, a new basic education curriculum reform is being practised actively." All for our students, for each student’s development", the curriculum reform is gradually becoming a reality. Trying the various and developed teaching theory in concrete teaching process is a reflection of a new curriculum teaching theory. It is helpful to cultivate students’ autonomous learning awareness and scientific knowledge, which has a positive significance to the English teaching and learning. In order to achieve a breakthrough as well as apply the effective teaching theory to the English teaching and learning of senior middle school, the article mainly using the Humanism learning theory, discussing the Humanism learning theory, which is under the guidance of senior middle school English teaching mode, presents its teaching process and the optimistic result. By practising the effective teaching and learning strategy, exploring actively, students’interest in learning, in the autonomous English learning ability, and learning consciousness are improved. During that, there is a positive correlation between students’academic achievement, English also has made great progress; through the research and practice, summed up the useful teaching and learning method,which is used for the English teachers and students. we can fully use the Humanism learning theory in our English language teaching and learning. So the article discusses the value of humanistic learning theory in the English teaching and learning and the related effective strategy in the curriculum reform.
