Group Social Work Intervention Research For The Urban Community Services For Aged At Home

As a new power, the social work has been a meaningful approach of the endowment problems of china in the new century. But such conundrums as the possibility and the problems of getting the social work involved in the community endowment services, and how can the social workers use the unique technique to carry out the group social work for the old are strongly needed to be addressed in the theory and practice.In this dissertation, I take the community Y in Lanzhou as an example with some scientific methods such as the field observation and questionnaire survey method. On one hand, we can confirm the needs of joining in the group activities of the aged in the community, and then according to their needs, the social work carry out some activities which can enrich the old’s life and improve their abilities to take a part in the society. In the other hand, we can sum up and discuss to find some better methods to solve these problems. The main conclusions of the dissertation is:It is practicability to get the group social work involved in the community services for the aged.Of course, except for the efforts of the social workers, the old should coordinate with them, in addition, our country and the society must offer more resources an attention to the aged, so we can resolve the endowment problem better.We have got some achievements by the group social work of the community Y. It’s an important certification that it’s meaningful to get the group social work involved in the community services for the aged.What’s more, we can find the dilemmas of the endowment problems and the obstacles for the social workers. We can offer some proposals by the practice to make a contribution to the urban community services for the aged and the theories of the group social work.
