Investigation Of The "Custody" Phenomenon About The City’s School-Age Children

With the rapid development of economy, the intense social competitiveness, the narrow of urban family size, the increase in cost of raising children and the reduction of family members who can take care of children, the care and education of school-age children in urban families has become a difficulty. The rise of trustee institutions in cities solves the problem of sending and picking up children,and meets the needs of tutoring children,the family child-rearing responsibilities begin extemalizing.In this case,it gradually evolves into the status of "Custody" about the child-rearing in cities.This report takes DD Custody Center which is located in Deqing as an example, and through analyzing,it reveals the reasons of this phenomenon. These reasons are social and economic development, family structure, and changes in the way of child-rearing, functions of custody center.Furthermore,this report also analyzes the influence of this phenomenon on children themselves, their families and the society, and it puts forward some operability suggestions from the three aspects.
