Secondary vocational education, including common secondary technical school, technical schools, vocational secondary education and a variety of short-term vocational training,is an important part in vocational and technical education. Having been promoted as priorities of development of education from2009on, secondary vocational education can be obtained with less tuition so as to become more attracting to students. Thus each year90percent of students can get1500yuan as bonus of learning, greatly promoting secondary vocational education at education scale in these years. Secondary vocational education is aimed for service and employment-oriented. Students should be cultivated to acquire skills to meet the requirements of enterprises, ensuring that they can cater to the need of enterprises and be competent for the tasks of the job after graduation. While secondary vocational students are poor in self-regulation, hard in comprehension and weak in basic theoretical knowledge, schools should arrange teaching courses according to "zone of proximal development" of students. Therefore teaching lags behind inevitably, then students must make full use of spare time to expand the amount of their knowledge by learning autonomy. Cultivation of autonomous learning among students should be strengthened so as to improve the quality of secondary vocational education, to meet the requirements of the development of social economy and to provide vast space for students to develop. On the basis of this, the paper makes a survey on problems of the development of learning autonomy in secondary vocational education.Firstly the author deeply analyses essays and documents relevant to learning autonomy, and establishes a system of secondary vocational students’learning autonomy and explores a path of students" ability to learn autonomously at the macro level based on the results of correlation analysis, indicating the direction and lay a solid foundation for the follow-up study. Next, the questionnaire of vocational students’ learning ability and status is self-designed with the aid of the system and reference to the questionnaires that already exsit in relevant essays, from four dimensions made of the ability of self-monitoring, information processing, knowledge application and cooperation to analyze students’autonomous learning ability and current status. On the basis of this, through the questionnaires among160students of vocational education center in Beibei and relative data processing, the main problems of secondary vocational students’self-learning ability and status can be concluded that they are in low ability of self-monitoring, information processing, knowledge application and communication and collaboration. The factors are also analyzed which influences the performance and present situation of secondary vocational students’autonomous learning ability. The influence factors of self-monitoring ability are mainly about learning motivation, attribution style, self-efficacy, metacognitive strategies and others. Factors influencing the ability of processing information are chiefly the consciousness of collecting information, information collection ability etc. Affecting the ability of low knowledge application is mainly for direct experiences, situational awareness, operation skills and other. Collaboration and communication skills are mainly affected by awareness of communication and collaboration, interpersonal skills and others. Through analyzing the factors influencing vocational students’ self-learning ability and performance and cultivation, four targeted suggestions for cultivating the ability of vocational students’ learning autonomy is proposed from the perspective of a teacher: developing vocational students’ self-monitoring ability from the direction of learning motivation, using metacognitive strategy and strengthening willpower; cultivating the ability of information processing of students from the direction of consciousness of the information collection, ability to collect information and information processing means cultivation of students’ ability of knowledge application from the direction of new teaching aim, presentation of teaching and teaching practice; improving of students’ ability of communication and collaboration from the direction of cooperative atmosphere and communicating skills.
