Comprehensive promotion of quality education is an important directionof the reform of basic education in China in twenty-first century. The breachof the curriculum reform is the reform of teaching materials, teaching plays avery important role in the process of education. Based on the basic educationreform in our country especially education curriculum reform of basic eighthas the background, the reform of teaching material construction as thebreakthrough point, the text is divided into five parts. The first part uses themethods of literature reviews since the founding of new developments inmiddle school biology textbooks in China and eighth times of the biologycurriculum reform outline, and a brief analysis of the present situation andsignificance of research on biological textbook comparison; The second partis about the theoretical basis of constructivism theory, teaching materialcomparison textbook function theory and teaching material evaluation theory;the third part of the analysis of the teaching material of the new and the oldtextbooks “the life course of cell” thematic comparative analysis, analyzes thewriting structure, basic concepts of biology and includes columns, exercisesdesign, illustration, knowledge presentation characteristics; through thecomparative analysis, the fourth part mainly describes the design of thethree-dimensional teaching objectives, teaching content design and teachingevaluation design; the fifth part summarizes the special advantage in the newtextbook and the insufficiency, proposed the use of the new textbook.Research shows that, the new textbook followed the old textbooks on thebasic concepts of biology, but also increase the hot topics in biology, and theold teaching materials in the formulation of the concept of the modification, make it more scientific, simple, logical, new teaching materials to better graspthe basic, reflect the advanced nature and the times; at the same time, the newtextbooks focus on students in real life contact, the readability is strong, goodteaching situation creating, conducive to the ways of teaching and learningchange; in addition, the structure of new textbook greatly adjusting teaching,taking the question driving model of students’ autonomous learning, columnsincrease analysis, skills training, practice characteristics test system designpresented a multi-level, multi type, open type, to analyze students’ thinkingability, improve the ability of the new textbook, conducive to cultivatestudents’ ability. The use of new materials, it is necessary to establish acorrect concept of education, from the “elite education” shadow, collaborativedevelopment knowledge, ability and emotion concern “the trinity” target,improve the consciousness of the implementation of curriculum objectives;the two is to establish a correct view of teaching material, not only theteaching material as the ordinary teaching materials, to read the text carefully,excavating materials; three is to correctly handle the relationship betweenlearning and exploring knowledge; four is not to ignore the knowledge of thetarget recognition and pursuit.
